Gets it Done

I came to Brad with an idea for a new business. We discussed how it would work, and Brad ran with it. A few weeks later, the web site was up and running exactly as I wanted. -- David Dickson, Money4YourSchool.com

Guide to Natural Food Restaurants in the US and Canada.

The book Guide to Natural Food Restaurants in the US and Canada contains information on over 2,000 restaurants. Brad developed a Microsoft Access application to maintain the information in a Microsoft SQL Server database. The data can then be exported to both a Microsoft Word document used for printing the book, and an online database where users can search for restaurants by State and City. Online users have the option of clicking a link to view a map with the location of the restaurant. Go to http://www.vrg.org/restaurant/index.htm to view the application.

Award winning web site

Brad developed the original web site for The Vegetarian Resource Group, including nutrition information, magazine articles, an interactive forum, product sales, a searchable recipe database, and more. The web site received a near-perfect rating from Tufts University, ranking it above other health related web sites such as the American Heart Association. The site was featured in the magazine "Yahoo Internet Life." After many years as the number one site with a Google search for the word "vegetarian", it has slipped to number four.

Online bookstore

Brad developed a complete online bookstore, with the book and order data conveniently located on the customer's network. The online store allowed searching by category, author, and title, or browsing the most popular titles. Orders were completed through a secure site, with encrypted credit card information returned to the office network. This application is no longer in use, but did form the basis for other online applications.

Rider Info

The Pro Hydrofoil Tour was looking for a way to promote the tour riders and draw traffic to its web site. Brad developed a Microsoft Access application that contained the rider's profile, including awards and tournament placements. The data was then exported to html pages for display on the web site.

Desktop integration with Money4YourSchool.com

Money4YourSchool.com, and its sister sites, Money4YourChurch.com and Money4YourNonprofit.com, allow organizations to receive money when people conveniently order newspapers. The web sites use a common database that contains both the unique information about each organization, and the order information from each sale. A separate Microsoft Access application exports the orders to encrypted Excel spreadsheets to be delivered to each newspaper vendor via email or ftp.
